SNOW DAY!

We woke up to feet of snow. Mario tried to leave for work around 6:00a.m. and didn't make it too far out of the driveway. He came back in and woke me up to come help him get the car back into the driveway. It was a mess, but we finally got it out of the way! An hour later, we found out that School had been cancelled! It was the last day before Christmas break and Trinity had a Christmas program and Ethan had a party so they were kind of sad they didn't get to go to school. After breakfast, we got them all bundled up and they went out with Mario to try to clear the driveway. Later that afternoon, when Grandpa Deene was able to get out of his driveway, he brought his igloo making tools over. The kids and I went out with Grandpa to build an igloo. The kids lost interest after the first row. We continued on and finished it pretty quick! The kids were interested again when they got to go inside! It was a fun snow day! Unfortunately, it didn't freeze hard that night and the next day our igloo slumped enough that the kids couldn't go in it. We will have to build another and hope that it lasts a bit longer.
